Woooooot. I have been a missionary for 2 months. I love it here! I never want to leaveee. Like never but with my health issues it looks like it could be a possibility very soon.

Monday: Went to the doctor at the CCM and saw a bucnh of my CCM friends and old techers. And guess what I could talk to them in Spanish. It felt good. And I understand everything now. Thanks for all the prayers. The doctor broke some bad news. I need to see a real doctor and get a bunch of test done. AWESOME. Dont worry for lunhch I ate the greatest sandwich and a giant ice cream cone for a total of 4 dollars. Life is better here in Chile. Things are cheaper and teh ice cream is better. It must have like Chilean love mixed in it. Yeah so the doc gave me some allergy meds and sailn spray. No más. It was a LONG day.

Tuesday: I was feeling pretty gross, but hey there is a work to do. So we went and hung otu with our neighbore Nora. I was suppose to teach her English, but we ended up (and when I say we I mean my comp and Nora) talked about the imporatnce of women in the family. Holllllaah to my mama bear. I talked aobut how great you are. K. So Nora is a closet artist and amazing. She is gorgeous and 6o but looks like she is 40 and is sweet and has a cute little graden and giraffe statues and I loce her. Next we taught a lesson with our investigator Juan Guzam. We taught the restoration. It went well...My spanish was off cus I am sick and yeah it just wasnt as wonderful as I hoped. My main concern is that my investigators come closer to Christ. ONE DAY HE WILL BE BAPTIZED!

Wednesday: yeah since I was sick, basically slept all day and wathced movies about Joseph and Emma Smith. She is MY HERO. Oh and we had districe metting. I love my elders they just laugh at/encourage my spanish J

Thursday: Thought I was going to die. I was so sick. But lukcy we had the doctor. We took a bus and the metro and it took an hour and a half to get there....no me gusta. BUT we ran into our investigador Agostine :) Ahhhhh. When I saw him I shouted across the bus AHHH MI AMOR! Probably not very missionary-like. But he is my best friend so yah. He bought us little posteries for breakfast. It was soooo yummy. If Chile has one thing right is pastries. So went to the doctors. I basically collapsed into the waiting room and then finally got to see the doctor. And guess what! He spoke no english...good thing I speak no Spanish and my comp speaks a total of ¨Hi¨ in english. Anyone who knows me, knows I have a frustration with doctors. Please try to imagine my frustration with one who speaks NO ENGLISH. I was a messs and had a mini break down. Its fine though. Bascially what I gathered from the appointment is that I have an infection in my sinus canal and throat and they dont know what it is. No worries I took a bunch of tests blood work and a cat scan.

Friday: Woke up at te crack of dawn (6 am) to go with my comp to fill out some citizenship papers. She is now an official citizen of Chile. Pretty cool huh :) We got into the city and for a second i felt like I was home in LA. Its gorgeous. Oh and our mission leader dropped off my studies and test results. I am getting them reviewed tomorrow because to me it just looks like a skeleton ahaha.

Saturday: Ate lunch at the Mesa´s I LOVE THEM. They have the cutset story and I will have to tell you it another day. But its adorable and the whole time I was just drooling over pictures of their wedding...trunky? ahah noooo......Oh and they gave us a reference. Scoreeee. Oh and we have two new investigators: Antonia and Juan Carlos. They are awesome. The mom Maria Paz is the twin of Tammy Upton. Its crazy. And she is a member but WAY inactive. No worries though. She is incredible.

Sunday: Pretty chill. Love me some Sundays. We ate lunch at the Bishops house. It ws amazing. They are opening up a shop in their house, oh yeah they do that here. At just about every street, someone has a little drug store or snakc store out of their garage. Its awesome and everything I need is like 5 minutes from the house. And its cheap. Santa Clarita should adopt this. Also since I cant leave the house (doctors orders) we are doing divisions. We are helping the girl who are preparing for missions in our ward. One of them goes out with Hna Marquez to our appointments and the other stays home with me and we watch the district all night. Its awesome.

Ahhh I love my life. Even though this is hard, I love it. I love the people here in Chile and my heart will break if I have to leave. My heart is full and above all I just want to do what my Savior needs me to do. I will keep you posted. I love you all so much. Thank you for your prayers and love!!!! I can feel it all the way over here in skinny old Chile!

Line of the week:
Elder Cannon (elder in our ward): ¨¿Hermana Marquez, comó está su compañera?¨
Hermana Marquez: ¨Morió¨
Elder Cannon: ¨Ahh bueno. Morió.¨

Morió means she died.... No body loves me wahhhhh.
Just kidding Jesus does.

I LOVE YOU ALLLL! Dont worry I am still alive.

Stay strong and keep saying your prayers.
All my love,

Xoxo

So. I am in Chile. I live in Chile. And walk the streets and talk to real people.
Not going to lie I want to like cry every day because I love the people here so much but I cant talk to them because lets be real. I dont speak Spanish.
so much happened this week but I guess I will just tell you about the main points.
I live in a shack. Jk I live in a house but its tiny. And adorable. And I love it.
Every day we eat a tiny breakfast and a lunch made for football players. I am going to get fat. No doubt. Oh well. Life goes one.
I get to teach an English class every Wednesday WHATTTTT. Yeah it is so cool. Elder Cannon and I teach.
So I pretty much understand all Spanish. I just cannot speak to save my life. We spend most of our day visiting inactive members because there is just SO MANY. We talk to every single person we see on the street and there is isnt like a lot. We at most see like 80 people a day.
My ward is huge and I love all the members here. They treat me like family and would do basically anything for me.
My companion is AWESOME. She is so sweet and has been out for 11 months. She is sort of kind of the bees knees. She is so cute and tone deaf. haha I love it.
Its hard because I wish we could be doing more. Teaching more people but there is just not enough time in the day. There is so much to do and so little time. We do have a progressing investigator, Agostine. He is awesome and I think he is going to get baptized. Soon we are going to commit him to a date soon!

Despite how hard it is here, I love it. I have such a strong testimony that God has a plan for us.
He loves us, he sent us to Earth to recieve a body, but He is is desperately waiting for us to return to Him. He gave us a path to return and that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So we wouldn´t be confused, He sent his Son Jesus Christ to live a perfect example for us to follow. Jesus Christ died for each of us so we can overcome our mistakes and have some one who understands perfectly. Christ established His Church and restored it again on the earth through Joesph Smith. Now we have a profet who helps guide us even more.
God wants us to return to live with Him again. Every single one of us. Let us to complicate the simplicity that God loves us, He wants us to return to Him and has provided a way. If we live the Gospel of Jesus Christ we will return to Him again and live with Him forever in perfect happiness.

This is the message I share every day. Families can be together forever, we can find peace and joy in this life, there is more when we leave this world.

If you have doubts, its okay. But please:
´´Doubt your doubts before you doubt your faith´´

If you lack a testimony, you can borrow mine. I now this is true and if you follow the Gospel you will have eternal happiness.

I love with Gospel and I love each one of you!
Please write me at my new address!!!!!

Line of the week: This one is inspirational

´´Teach every person like they are 8 yearsold´´
-Sebastian in my ward
He speaks English.

Don´t complicate the gospel. Share it with everyone. You have no idea how blessed you to be able to share it in your native language.

Till next week :)

Halelujiah. I thought I would never see the sight of my email this week. Pday on a Wednesday? What is this madness?
Bad news guys, I won´t be able to email next week. Because it is transfers and I go out into the field. So I will have to survive a week with out an email from me, make sure to send me an extra email so i feel loved.
More bad news. My district was distroyed. D2 lost 3 elders and D7 lost 5 elders and 1 sister (they got sent to the Latino district cus they rock at spanish)
So D2 and D7 were combine we are basically the regects who stink at spanish. Not reallly but really. The last day D2 was together, we all said our goodbyes. I was balling. My companionship was split up. Now I am just with Hermana Gibby. Teaching is way easier in a dou. I do not like trios.
SO I WENT CONTACTING. Like I went out to the streets of CHILE and talked to real people in Spanish and they understood me! I wish I had more time to tell you everything about it. But we met Carl (my twin) except he is a guy. And he is going to come to church. Bascially I just told him ¨If Jesus Christ was on the earth and told you to go to this church would you?¨ Well yeah... ¨Well I am His represntative and I promise if you go to church on Sunday you will feel in your heart its true.¨
So i just love the gospel and want to bring everybody closer to Christ. Everyone go to church! Just go! Its the best in the whole world. GO JESUS!
K. Oh and we gave this old guy Fernando a Book of Mormon and explained that its just like the bible and goes hand and hand with it. He was like so excited. It was so cute! I love Chileans.
I sang with my District on Sunday. We sang ¨Jospeh Smiths first prayer¨ to the tune of ¨Come thou fount¨ Yeah we made people cry. GET ON OUR LEVEL. We just love the Spirit. Then I bore my testimony in SPanish and cried in front of everyone. But I didnt care. Becuase I know with ALL of my hear that this church is true. It is. I know it.
More bad news: So Elder and Hermana Gilbert are the missionary couple who lives with us at ALCANTARA. They have become my family. Well we found out two days ago that Elder Gilbert has to be rushed into the hospital for emergency heart surgery. I started having a full out break down. But I knew that the Lord would protect him. He had his surgery and he is succesfully recovering.
President Allred gave us this advice: just be missionaries. just be who you are and he will be fine. It really hit me in that moment that I am a missionary of Jesus Christ. I love being a missionary!
So got new parents in ALCANTARA the Popes. They are awesome obvs.
Oh and Hermana GIbby fell on her face running yesterday. SO FUNNY.

Genereal Conference is in 3 days! What!
Some advice for yall, go into conference with a question or two or five. I promise you, you will recieve an answer to each of them. If you dont know what General COnference is, ask Taylor Kozak (taylorkozak(at)yahoo.com)
My Christ like attribute this week is diligence. And I love it! It has made me alot more excited to get out into the field and just help every one!
On Friday we get to go to our mission and tract with real missionaries (cus we arent real hahah) It is just so we get a tasted of what it is going to be like!
Okay that is all for this week. I wont be able to email next week so I will talk to you guys in 2 :) I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!
Line of the week:
Randon man in a truck: ¨Excuse me Hermanas I have a joke for you, what is the difference between a black cow and a white cow? a white cow goes: moooooooooooo. a black cow goes: moooooooo-yaaaaaaa.
I was crying. I dont think I have laughed that hard since I have been here.
Thank you random Chilean citizen.
Love you all sending lots of kisses!
Muah!!!!
